Conference summary

Use of integrated multichannel eye tracking and biofeedback technology in educational and health psychology

Today, technology is increasingly being used in the field of Instructional Psychology and Clinical Psychology. However, this application has challenges related to the acquisition of skills related to the use and processing of the large volume of data generated.

Therefore, the challenge lies in developing training programmes for psychology professionals on the use of devices and the application of Machine Learning (ML) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) techniques.

Methodology: five experiences are presented in this symposium. The first one refers to the application of integrated multichannel eye tracking technology and ML techniques to improve learning in Higher Education.

The second refers to the application of chatbot technology in education and health. The third and fourth focus on the development and validation of prevention programmes using biofeedback techniques for anxiety control and support for university students carried out at the SUAS of the UBU. The fifth includes a systematic review on the use of eye tracking in educational and health settings.
Discussion and conclusions: the use of integrated multichannel eye tracking, biofeedback techniques and ML and IAG techniques pose challenges and opportunities for Psychology in the 21st century.

However, in order to address them successfully, it is necessary to design regulated training programmes aimed at students and recent graduates, and non-regulated programmes aimed at updating practising professionals. In addition, the development of applied research in these environments.
