The symposium “Factors Behind Academic Failure and University Dropout: Keys to Intervention” aims to thoroughly analyze the multifactorial causes influencing academic failure and university dropout, and to explore proposals for effective actions and strategies to reduce it. To achieve this, the symposium will include five presentations. The first presentation will address learning strategies and their importance during the university transition period. The second presentation will focus on motivational strategies and their role in preventing study abandonment. The third presentation will help us understand how effective management of personal psychological resources can aid students in achieving success and thus prevent early dropout. The fourth presentation will discuss various forms of intervention to prevent dropout, and the fifth presentation will introduce the future options considered by students when thinking about leaving university, presenting Vocational Training as a continuation option.
