Jesús de la Fuente, Ph D is a University Professor in the Area of ​​Developmental and Educational Psychology. Professor at the University of Almería (UAL, 1993-2018), when he joined the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the University of Navarra as Vice Dean of Research and Director of the Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology. He is currently a University Professor at the University of Navarra.

 

He has focused his academic and research activity on the R&D&I Value Chain, applied to Educational Psychology. He has numerous national and international peer-reviewed and high-impact publications (231 publications, of which 176 articles, 37 books, 18 chapters), with 160 communication activities and symposia). He has 4 CNEAI research sections (2021) and an H index = 40.

 

He has directed 6 National R&D Projects for Knowledge Generation as a PI with a broad international projection and participated in a total 10 R&D Projects. Of these, 6 are for the promotion of Knowledge (2003-206; 2007-2010; 2012-2015; 2028-2021; 2023-2026) and 1 is a Proof of Concept Project (2022-2024). All of them are focused on the study of self-regulation in learning and more recently on regulatory contexts in Education and Health.

 

Director of the HUM-746 Research Group (UAL, 2001-2018) and the Psychological Processes in Education and Health Group (UNAV, 2018-2021). Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Electronic Journal of Research in Educational Psychology (UAL). Associate Editor of the Journal Frontiers in Psychology (2010-2023), Learning & Individual Differences (2018-2023), and Learning & Instruction (2023-2024).

 

Regarding technological developments and transfer, he has a total 14 RPIs for ICT products. He has 56 R&D contracts for scientific-technological transfer. In 2021 he received the Award for Innovation in Psychology from the General Council of Psychology and the Psicofundación.

 

Symposium abstract


This Invited Symposium presents four communications. The first presents the Conceptual Utility Model for Stress Management and Psychological Well-being as a heuristic to analyze and intervene in the psychoeducational field. Derived from it, the second presents the Academic Well-being Experience Index. The third presents recent research results, referring to risk factors, to predict stress. Finally, in the fourth communication, protective factors to promote psychological well-being and flourishing are presented. The results are contextualized in the university environment.
