Inclusive education is an educational proposal that breaks with ideas, stereotypes and prejudices that have dominated education throughout time.
Ending discrimination, segregation and exclusion of diversity is a challenge for any educational system, which challenges the entire educational community; it stops having the logic of homogeneity as a reference to focus on the logic of heterogeneity.
This radical paradigm shift requires influencing both cultures (attitudes, beliefs, ways of thinking) and policies (decisions, models) and educational practices (intervention in classrooms, centers and educational systems).
This Symposium addresses some of the processes and vicissitudes followed to promote this change that must allow these practices to be implemented from culture, proposals and research, where it is shown that inclusive education refers to all students and all members of the educational community without exception.
For this, we present 5 linked communications:
What it is NOT and what inclusive education is: a basic decalogue.
The quality of research in inclusive education.
Observation and feedback between teachers, strategies for teacher change.
Inclusion of students with complex diseases.
DUA protocol for the creation of inclusive curricular proposals.
